Samsung Pay helps you make purchases with your Samsung smartphone quickly and securely! Gone are the days of digging for your wallet, using your Samsung phone and getting on your way quicker!

Adding a Card to Samsung Pay is Easy

On your smartphone:

1. Download Samsung Pay from the Google Play or Samsung Galaxy Store (or search for it on your device, your device may have it already).
2. Open the Samsung Pay app.
3. Tap the (+) sign.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your Motor City Flex Card.

Samsung Pay on wearables:

Currently, Samsung does not offer debit cards to be enabled on wearables. Keep an eye out for updates from Samsung and Motor City should this become available.

Where to Use Samsung Pay

Samsung Pay works wherever Interac® Flash is accepted. Just look for the Interac® Flash logo or contactless symbol at the checkout. Some stores will also display the Samsung Pay logo. Please note that some merchants with older POS terminals may have trouble processing payments via mobile wallets, but it does not hurt to try if the Interac® Flash logo is present!

Paying with Samsung Pay

With your smartphone:

1. Unlock your phone and navigate to where your Samsung Pay is stored.
2. Hold your phone over the terminal until you see a blue checkmark on the screen.

 

When paying within apps or online checkouts and internationally:

Some apps and websites may offer Samsung Pay when the Samsung Pay logo is present at checkout. Currently, your Motor City Flex Card can only be used for online and in-app payments via a mobile wallet for Canadian merchants that have Interac Debit e-Commerce payments enabled. Select the Samsung Pay option and see if your Motor City Debit card is available. More information and a current listing of merchants can be found below.
